Linda Hannon has called DeLand home since 2006 and is a full-time Realtor® with Charles Rutenberg Realty. Passionate about both her career and her community, she was named Realtor® of the Year by the West Volusia Association of Realtors just five years into the field. She also earned her Broker Associate license in 2017.

Linda was introduced to the Childhood Cancer Foundation by her business partner, Terry Bailey, and soon found herself deeply committed to its mission. Originally from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Linda has experienced the impact of cancer within her own family. While her children were spared, she’s lost her husband, sister, and parents to the disease.

“As a parent, I can’t imagine anything worse than having your child face a cancer diagnosis. The value this foundation brings to families is truly priceless, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”

“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” – William James

Barbara was born in South Florida, then moved to Charlotte N.C. for school and work. There she found her desire to give back to the community. While working at Walmart for 20yrs she was on several fundraiser campaigns for Children’s Miracle Network. Including when traveling across the country setting up a new store, she would do a fundraiser to support their local hospitals.

She moved to DeLand in 2011 as a real estate agent and wanted to give back to the community. She volunteered for several years with different events. Then joined the board in 2019.

Our Patient Liaison

Cindy Whitaker
Contact Cindy

Learn more...
Cindy joined the CCF team in 2016 as the family liaison however she has been in this field for over 14 years. Growing up in Orlando Florida she made a move to Volusia County 13 years ago with her family husband, Dan; daughter, Amanda; and son, Danny. Danny is the reason they made the move, he was diagnosed in 2004 with stage 4 Medulloblastoma, brain cancer.

Having a child with cancer herself, Cindy has walked this journey and understands the needs of our families which makes for a perfect fit for our organization. Having this experience is invaluable when meeting, helping and navigating the families who are embarking on this journey. Cindy is in the hospitals daily taking care of our families; bringing meals, delivering gas in grocery cards, giving them rides to and from their appointments and sometimes just holding their hands.
